Keep your cutting board in top shape with this home-made food-safe wood finish and conditioner. Use to preserve wood, keep out water, reduce warping, and prevent cracking. A little goes a long way.
Ingredients: food-grade mineral oil, beeswax
Apply every three months, or whenever the board looks dry (look for pale colors and lack of luster). Washing cutting boards with soap reduces the life of most conditioners.
Use rag or paper towel to lightly coat dry board. Wait at least 15 minutes, then rub in / rub off excess using a clean, dry rag or paper towel.
