A little about the Artist

I was raised in rural Virginia as an only child, and learned to entertain myself at an early age. My parents exposed me to many crafts and anything that I showed interest in. When I was about ten my father taught me how to work with copper, and I spent several summers working with him in his shop. I graduated from Stuart Hall School in Staunton Virginia and attended Westhampton College and West Virginia University. My husband and I have been married for forty-three years, and he is my best supporter and critic.

About their Business

After spending Christmas with my grandson in Italy, and a trip to Venice where I purchased several Murano pendants, I went in to the local bead store in Williamsburg to get beads to make ropes for the pendants to hang on. There I discovered a board with classes that were available. One was making a wire wrapped cabochon. I took the class and was hooked. I took many more classes from Dale "Cougar" Armstrong who is a purist of this art form. I enjoyed it so much and was so prolific that I had to have an outlet. Thus Mint Spring's Designs was born.
